Hailsham Chamber Opens Stock Exchange
Nus Ghani, MP for Wealden invited the Hailsham Chamber of Commerce to the London Stock Exchange alongside other Wealden Chambers of Commerce on Monday 14th May 2018 to open the day’s trading at 10 Paternoster Row, which was then followed by a tour of Parliament later on that morning.
This was a unique business development morning where 14 Hailsham Chamber businesses took advantage of advice on hand from the stock exchange’s experts and professionals as well as the official opening of that day’s trading.
Nus is the first MP to organise such an event for constituency businesses in Wealden and also the first time an MP organised such a visit at the Stock Exchange. Every business was invited to sign a book chronicling who has opened the stock exchange and their names were alongside politicians and businesses from around the world. After opening the day’s trading they were invited for breakfast to meet, chat and network with the LSE’s experts including representative of their ‘Elite’ programme, an international business support and capital raising programme for ambitious and fast growing companies.
A trip was also organised for the visitors to visit the Houses of Parliament for a one and half hour tour.
The Hailsham Chamber businesses who opened the day’s trading were: LED UK Lighting; KH town Planning; SE Tyres; Plummer Parsons Accountants; Stevens & Carter Estate Agents; VisionsNspire; So Legal; Willson & Kempe Semi-Grand Piano Shell; Handlesbanken; Chestnut Tree House; Venture Mortgage Management and the Camera Centre (Hailsham).
